INSIDE THE SERIES:
- The Statesmen lead the all-time series with Auburn Montgomery 1-0, having defeated the Warhawks 5-0 last season at Delta Field.
- Montevallo leads the all-time series with Delta State 7-0, defeating the Statesmen 2-1 in the season opener of the 2015 season.
ABOUT AUBURN MONTGOMERY
- Auburn Montgomery enters its tilt with DSU holding a 1-13 overall record and a 1-6 mark in GSC thus far this season.
- Tiuri Schieving is the leading point man for the Warhawks, having scored three goals on the year. Simon Van Rheeden is second on the team with five points, with a pair of goals and one assist to his credit this year.
- The Warhawks are coming off their lone win of the season, a 4-2 defeat of Shorter University. Schieving scored two of his three goals this season in the win, while Alexis Arriaga and William York also scored for AUM.
ABOUT MONTEVALLO:
- The Montevallo Falcons boast a 6-3-3 overall record and a 3-1-3 mark in Gulf South Conference play this year.
- The Falcons are second in the league in scoring at 2.0 goals per game, and are third in the league in giving up less than one goal per game (.92 goals against per game).
- Lukas Hauer and Cesare Marconi lead the Falcons offense with 12 points each on the year. Hauer has five goals and two assists on the year, while Marconi also has five goals and two assists on the campaign.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Robert Kuta has allowed less than a goal per game for Montevallo, and leads the GSC with six shutouts and 76 saves.
UP NEXT:
After contests with Auburn Montgomery and Montevallo, the Statesmen hit the road to close out the year with a pair of non-conference matchups against Southwest Baptist and Northeastern State. The Statesmen and Southwest Baptist University face off in Bolivar, Mo. at 7:30 p.m. Delta State then travels to Tahlequah, Okla. to take on Northeastern State University at 7 p.m.
