Box Score FAIRFIELD, Ala. – Miles College outscored the Delta State women's basketball team 17-9 over the final 12 minutes to earn a 46-41 victory, in non-conference action, on Monday night at Knox-Windham Gymnasium.

TURNING POINT:
- With the Lady Statesmen leading 32-29 with just under two minutes left in the third period, Miles
closed the game with a 17-9 run over the final 12 minutes to win the game.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Miles won the contest, despite shooting just 27 percent from the floor (12-of-45). DSU finished
the game 14-of-37 (37.8) percent.
- The Lady Statesmen finished the game with a 35-29 advantage on the glass.
INSIDE THE FLOW:
- Miles held a slim 9-7 advantage after the opening 10 minutes that saw the Lady Statesmen commit
12 miscues, and the hosts eight.
- After scoring just 16 combined points in the opening quarter, the teams scored 16 apiece in the
second frame. DSU was 6-of-12 in the second quarter, while Miles was just 3-of-8.
- Takisha Jordan led DSU with eight points in the first half, while Victoria Sutton led the hosts with
seven. Raven Johnson pulled down five first half rebounds in just eight minutes of aciton
- The Lady Statesmen won their only quarter of the contest, holding Miles to just four points (9-
4) in the third period.
- DSU was held to just 2-of-8 from the floor, as Miles went on a 17-9 run to close out the game.

- The victory for Miles was the first in its program's history over the Lady Statesmen.
