JACKSON, Mississippi – The Delta State men's tennis team earned its first victory of the season, defeating Belhaven University 7-2 on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss.
Delta State gained an early lead, taking two-of-three in the doubles competition.
The Statesmen finished the match with a victory in every singles spot, except for the No. 1 spot, where Belhaven clinched its sole singles match victory.
The Statesmen (1-1) face the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss. on Feb. 26 at 12 p.m.
