HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Delta State men's tennis team fell 7-0 at the hands of University of Southern Mississippi on Sunday afternoon.
Southern Miss took an early 2-0 lead in doubles competition on court No. 1 and No. 2.
Southern Miss finished the match sweeping the singles competition on every court to claim the 7-0 overall win.
The Statesmen (1-2) will open Gulf South Conference play at the University of North Alabama in Florence, Ala., with a match scheduled at 2 p.m. on March 3.
