CLEVELAND, Mississippi - The Delta State University women's basketball team will look to bounce back after a pair of home losses last week in hosting in-state rival Mississippi College tonight, Monday, Feb. 6, at Walter Sillers Coliseum.

TIP-OFF NEWS AND NOTES
- The first 400 fans at Walter Sillers Coliseum will get free #BeatMC t-shirts, and fans are encouraged to bring their white towels back to Walter Sillers in order to earn rewards.
- All of Delta State's student-athletes that achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher in the fall semester will also be recognized. The women's game will tip at 5:30 p.m., with the men to follow.
- This will be the 62nd meeting all-time between the two programs, with Delta State holding a 52-9 series advantage.
- The Lady Statesmen will look to avenge an earlier defeat at the hands of MC back on Dec. 1, when the Choctaws knocked off the Lady Statesmen 82-77 at A.E. Wood Coliseum.
- Delta State is tops in the league in scoring defense, holding opponents to an average of 57.5 points per game. DSU has held opponents to 55 points or less 13 times this season, including three occasions where the Lady Statesmen have held the opposition to 48 points or less.
- Sophomore point guard Alondrea Rush has continued to lead the offense for Delta State, averaging a team-high 12.8 points per game. She is also adding 2.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game while playing 34.9 minutes per contest.
- Senior Kaelin Kneeland has carried the Lady Statesmen in the post this year. Kneeland is second on the team at 12.0 points per game and also leads the team on the boards, snaring 6.5 rebounds per game. She has gone for nine or more rebounds seven times, has snared double-digit rebounds four times and has a pair of double-doubles. She has scored in double-figures 13 times this year, including three times going for 20 points or more.
- Mississippi College is led by Kelley Allen, who comes into the game averaging 14.3 points per game, 7.3 rebounds and 2.8 steals. She shoots 50% from the field and 74% from the free throw line in helping spearhead an offense that scores just over 70 points per game. Ashley Minor adds 13.3 points per game, 5.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists for the Choctaws.
