LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The Delta State University men's tennis team fell to the University of West Alabama, 2-7, on Saturday afternoon in Livingston.
The Tigers swept the Statesmen in the doubles competition to take an early 3-0 lead.
Delta State saw two victories in the singles competition as
Joao Yamacita defeated Henrik Sinkko 6-4, 6-7, 4-2 retired in the fourth spot.
Andrew Hildenbrand defeated Anton Lof 8-4 in the sixth spot. West Alabama claimed victories in the first, second, third and fifth courts.
The Statesmen (2-4, 1-2 GSC) continue their road trip as they head to Memphis, Tenn., to face Christian Brothers and LeMoyne-Owen College on March 12.
