CLEVELAND, Miss. - The Delta State University men's tennis team only claimed one win in the doubles competition but ultimately fell to Auburn University at Montgomery, 6-1, on Friday afternoon at the Cleveland Country Club.
The Statesmen were down early in the doubles competition after Auburn Montgomery claimed two wins in the first and second spot, but
Mason Vice and
Joao Yamacita
 had a hard fought win in the third spot, 8-6.
In the singles competition, the Warhawks grabbed the first win in the fifth spot and continued the momentum on the third, fourth and sixth court to claim an overall, 6-1 victory over Delta State.
The Statesmen continue their four match home stand on Saturday, March 25 against Shorter University at 1:00 p.m.
