CLEVELAND, Miss. - The Delta State University men's tennis team earned a crucial Gulf South Conference victory over Shorter University, 5-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Cleveland Country Club Tennis Courts.
The Statesmen got out to a great start in the doubles competition winning on all three courts to gain a 3-0 advantage heading into singles.
A win for
Andrew Hildenbrand by default on court No. 6 and
Julian Massa defeating Dylan Wood in the fifth spot, 6-1, 6-0, claimed the victory for Delta State at 5-0.
The Statesmen wrap up their home stand and celebrate Senior Day against Lee University on Sunday, March 26 at 10 a.m.
