HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Delta State University men's tennis team grabbed its first Gulf South Conference victory over Alabama Huntsville 5-2 on Saturday evening at Charger Tennis Facility.
Delta State claimed an early 2-1 lead in the doubles competition after wins on court No. 2 and 3.
The Chargers opened the singles competition with a win on court No. 3, but the Statesmen clinched the match after three straight wins on No. 2, 4 and 1 courts.
The Statesmen (2-3, 1-1 GSC)  return to action on Saturday, March 11 as they head to West Alabama.
