JACKSON, Miss. - The Delta State University men's tennis team grabbed two points in singles, but ultimately fell to Jackson State 4-2, on Monday afternoon.
The Tigers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after claiming victories on the second and third court.
The momentum continued for JSU in the singles competition as Alawi Andrey defeated
Hicham Azzaoui 6-3, 6-4 in the first spot.
Jeoffrey Noblecourt claimed a point for the Statesmen in the second spot as well as
Joao Yamacita defeated F. Mendeita Ruiz 6-4, 6-2 on the fourth court. The Tigers grabbed the last two wins in the fifth and sixth spot to claim the overall victory, 4-2.
