MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Delta State University men's tennis team fell to No. 2 seed Valdosta State University, 5-0, in the first round of the Gulf South Conference Tournament at Lagoon Park on Thursday afternoon.
Valdosta State took an early 3-0 lead in the doubles competition taking all three courts.
The momentum continued for the Blazers in singles taking two early points and claiming the 5-0 victory over Delta State.
The loss ends the season for the Statesmen, who close the year at 5-12.
