CLEVELAND, Miss - The Delta State University women's basketball team will look to get back in the win column, as it is scheduled to travel to Valdosta State and West Florida for a pair of Gulf South Conference contests. The Lady Statesmen and VSU square off on Sunday, Jan. 7, while the contest with UWF is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 9

ABOUT DELTA STATE:
- The Lady Statesmen enter play 5-7, having won four of their last six, but suffered a 75-59 home setback to North Alabama on Thursday, Jan. 4.
- Just two of DSU's five losses have come by more than seven points. The Green-and-White have held a lead in the second half in all but three of its games.
- The Lady Statesmen lead the GSC in scoring defense, allowing just 54.1 points per game.
- In all but two of its games, DSU has held opponents to at least one quarter of 11 points or less.
- With 10 combined three-pointers in her last four games Alondrea Rush has moved into seventh all-time on the DSU career list with 122. Her 362 career attempts are also seventh in school history.
- Alexis Ross poured in a career-high 17 points in the setback to UNA. The Charleston, Miss., native was 5-of-12 from the floor and 7-of-8 from the free throw stripe. The UNA game marked the third time this season that Ross has scored in double figures.
