HAMMOND, La. –Southeastern Louisiana University used a late 5-0 run to claim a 68-63 win over the Delta State University men's basketball team on Tuesday at the University Center.
Mathew Wilson led the Statesmen with 23 points, making 9-of-19 shots from the floor that included four 3-pointers.

TURNING POINT:
	- Tied 63-63 with 3:09 left in the game, the Lions went on a 5-0 run to close the game and claim the five-point win.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
	- Wilson scored 23 points on 9-of-19 shooting from the floor that included 4-of-10 from beyond the arc.
 
	- Justin Slocum had nine points and nine rebounds and Brett Warner had nine points.
 
	- A.J. Cockrell was 4-of-7 from the field for eight points.

	- The Statesmen opened up a 46-41 lead after a Slocum jumper with 13:51 remaining in the second half.
 
	- SLU held a 51-50 lead when Wilson turned in a four-point play to put the Statesmen ahead 54-41 at the 9:03 point of the second half.
 
	- Cedric Harper tied the game 63-63 with a layup but could not give the Statesmen the lead after his free throw rolled out with 3:09 left to play.
 
	- Greenwood scored SLU's next four points and Julien added a free-throw with 10 seconds to highlight the Lions' run to close the game.

	- Delta State and Southeastern Louisiana last met on Feb. 17, 1979 as the Statesmen claimed a 79-59 win in Cleveland.
