CLEVELAND, Miss. – The No. 35 Delta State men's tennis team suffered its first home loss of the season in a 7-2 defeat by the University of Montevallo Falcons on Sunday, March 25, in Cleveland, Miss.

Emile Le Terrier and
Hugo Stroppiana won the No. 1 doubles match. Montevallo tied the match with a win at No. 2 doubles.
Stedman Strickland and
Timo Schmitz were narrowly defeated at No. 3 doubles, which gave Montevallo the 2-1 lead heading into singles.
In singles, Le Terrier defeated Petter Dahlin to tie the match, but the Falcons regrouped and clinched the remaining singles matches en route to a 7-2 victory.
"Today was not the result we wanted, but we have to work to continue to get better mentally and emotionally," said
