JACKSON, Miss. – The Delta State men's tennis earned its sixth win of the season with a 5-2 victory over Jackson State University in Jackson, Miss., on March 9.
Delta State dominated the match from the get-go. After the Statesmen won doubles matches at N. 1 and No. 2 doubles, play was suspended on the third court, as Delta State earned the match point for doubles.
The Tigers began to pick up the pace in the singles competition, taking victories at No. 4 singles and No. 6 singles, but it was not enough to pose a threat. The Statesmen continued their momentum and cruised to a 5-2 match win.
