CLEVELAND, Miss.- After two tough games on the road this past weekend, the Delta State University men's soccer return home for a couple matchups at home in Gulf South Conference play. The Statesmen had a couple of thrillers with one ending in a draw against Shorter while falling in overtime to Lee.

INSIDE THE SERIES: Christian Brothers owns a 17-3-1 series edge against Delta State, having collected a 4-1victory in the last meeting between the two programs. CBU scored in three goals in the first ten minutes to pull away from the Statesmen.
Union holds a 7-4-2 record all time against the Statesmen. Last season brought a 1-1 draw between the two programs. Both of the goals came in the first ten minutes of the game.
LAST TIME OUT: Late game heroics from junior forward Tylor Davis brought Delta State University men's soccer team to a draw with a Shorter. The goal from Davis came with just 30 seconds left in regulation. Neither team could manage to score in overtime to end the game in a tie. Then against Lee, the Statesmen had the lead at the half but could not hold on to it. Two second half goals brought the Flames back out in front for the win. Zachary Breaux scored in the 89thminute to tie the game but Lee scored a minute into overtime to win.
INSIDE THE OPPONENTS:
CBU is 4-5 on the season and 2-2 in GSC play. They have defeated Spring Hill and Union in GSC play while falling to UWF and Montevallo. Maxi Galizzi leads the Bucs wth five goals on 21 shots while also adding two assists.
Union is 3-4 thus far and 1-3 in Gulf South Conference action. They lost in overtime to AUM while beating SHC in overtime as well. Their other two losses come to UWF and CBU. Gavin Scott has five goals for the Bulldogs so far while attempting 16 shots.
