CLEVELAND, Miss.- After two road wins this past weekend; the Delta State University men's soccer hit the road for one Gulf South Conference matchup this upcoming weekend. The Statesmen will head to take on rival Mississippi College this upcoming weekend in Clinton, Mississippi.

INSIDE THE SERIES: 12
th time Delta State and Mississippi College will have faced off. MC leads the series 7-4. Under head coach
Andy Robertson, the Statesmen are 2-3. DSU won in 2014 and 2015 and MC has won the last three. Last season MC won in double overtime 3-2 in Cleveland.
LAST TIME OUT: The Statesmen won two non-conference games last weekend. Against Oakwood, they set a new Gulf South Conference record for most goals in a game with 16.
Odinn Johannsson and
Zachary Breaux both had hat tricks in the game with Johannsson scoring four. Then against Talladega College, the Statesmen won in overtime 3-2 with Johannsson scoring all three goals. He is now up to nine goals on the season.
INSIDE THE OPPONENTS:
Mississippi College is 6-1-3 on the year and is 5-0-1 in GSC play. Their one loss was to LSU-Alexandria. They tied Harding and Ouachita Baptist in non-conference play. They tied Lee and then have won the last three without giving up a goal over Shorter, Union, and CBU. They have outscored opponents 18-5 on the year and are led byMarco Sellan, Owen Connelly, and Isaac Gonzalez who each have three goals.
