INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Heading into the final two weeks of the season, the Delta State University women's basketball team debuted at No. 10 in the initial NCAA South Region rankings released on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Union holds the top spot in the poll followed by Florida Southern, West Florida, Lee and Tampa. The top eight teams in the final poll will advance to the NCAA Division II South Region Tournament to be played on campus sites beginning March 14.
The Lady Statesmen (16-9, 11-7 GSC) are set to host in-state rival Mississippi College (6-17, 2-15 GSC) on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Walter Sillers Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
