GAME NOTES: Delta State vs. Mississippi College (2.23.19)
CLEVELAND, Miss. -- Delta State University women's basketball (16-9, 11-7 GSC) welcomes
Mississippi College (7-17, 3-15 GSC) for the regular season home finale and Senior Day at 2 p.m. on Sat., Feb. 23 at Walter Sillers Coliseum.
The Lady Statesmen will close the regular season against the
University of Montevallo (11-14, 7-10 GSC) on Thurs., Feb. 28 at 5:30 p.m. in Montevallo, Ala., starting GSC Tournament play on Tuesday, March 5.

9 double-figure rebounds games with a career-high 15 against Christian Brothers while her career-best points came against LeMoyne Owen (15).
LADY STATESMEN REWIND: The Lady Statesmen used a 14-5 run to erase a seven-point deficit in the final 2:41 of the game to defeat Valdosta State, 70-66 on Sat., Feb. 16 in Valdosta, Ga.
Nia Johnson's 17 points led the Lady Statesmen, who scored 21 points off the Lady Blazers' 17 turnovers en route to the win.
Kirstin Brown chipped in with 12 points and nine rebounds with
Frederica Haywood added 11 points and four rebounds. The win helped the Lady Statesmen split the two-game road trip, falling to West Florida 77-55 on Thurs., Feb. 14 in Pensacola, Fla. Johnson had 19 points and Brown added 15.
INSIDE THE MC SERIES: The Lady Statesmen and Choctaws meet for the 63rd time on the hardwood with DSU holding a 53-10 advantage in the series. The Green-and-White have won the last four meetings in the series, capturing a 57-51 win at AE Woods Coliseum on Sat., Dec. 15 in Clinton. The Lady Statesmen are 27-4 following a 57-38 win on Sat., Jan. 27, 2018 at Walter Sillers Coliseum.
