HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lady Statesmen were first on the board after Jordan Jones' grand slam in the bottom of the third gave them a 4-0 lead.
- DSU extended their lead 6-0 in the bottom of the sixth after Taylor Picou's two run single to center field.
ON THE MOUND:
- Nicole Fullilove (7-6) received the win for DSU. Fullilove threw a shutout seven innings allowing six hits while striking out five.
- Katie Foote (4-4) got the loss for UWG after giving up six runs off seven hits through six innings.
NOTEABLES:
- Jordan Jones hit for her fourth multiple RBI game of the season.
- Jones' grand slam in the bottom of the third was her third home run of the 2019 campaign.
- Taylor Picou (2-4) hit for her fourth multiple hit game this season. This was also Picou's first multiple RBI game of the season.

- The Lady Statesmen will be back on the diamond Sunday March 10th, 2019 for a double header to complete their series against the University of West Georgia. Game one will begin at 12 pm with game two following after.
