CLEVELAND, Miss. -- Delta State University head women's basketball coach
Craig Roden has announced the signing of Taneshia Miller to the roster for the 2019-20 season.
Miller, a Greenville, Mississippi native, comes to Delta State after two years at Itawamba Community College and was a teammate of Lady Statesmen signee Kaylyn Wilson.
Last year, Miller almost averaged a double-double for ICC at 9.3 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game. The 6'1 center recorded eight double-doubles this season. She led the team with a 60.7 field goal percentage, had an eight game stretch with 10 or more rebounds. She was named MACJC Player of the Week once during last season and was named to the MACJC All Star Team
Her senior season at Greenville High School she averaged 13.7 ppg and 9.8 rebounds.
"Taneshia is a Delta girl from Greenville, and is another player we have watched for the last few years," said Roden. "She has improved her scoring rebounding and shot blocking while at ICC. She plays extremely hard, she will be one of the most athletic post players in the league."
