Delta State Women's Basketball Adds Co-Lin CC All Star

CLEVELAND, Miss. -- Delta State University head women's basketball coach Craig Roden has announced the signing of T'Kyra Hicks to the roster for the 2019-20 season.

Hicks comes to Delta State after playing two seasons at Co-Lin Community College. The Greenville, Miss native averaged 10.1 points per game this past season. She started in 27 of Co-Lin's 28 games this year and played an average of 31.8 minutes per game. The sophomore shot 32.9 percent from the floor and hauled in 107 rebounds this season. On two occasions this season she scored 20 plus points.

She was the MVP of Mississippi JUCO All star game. Hicks helped lead the Lady Wolves to a 21-7 finish and were the MACJC State runners-up.

Hicks is another Delta product from Ray Brooks for Coach Roden. "Hicks knows how to play the game," said Roden.  "She can shoot it and drive it. We are looking for her to fill the point guard spot this year. She was the MVP of Mississippi JUCO All star game and has shown she can be the guard we want."
