CLEVELAND, Miss. -- Delta State University Head Women's Basketball Coach
Craig Roden announced the signing of Andrea "Andy" Duran to the roster for the 2019-20 season.
Duran is the sixth signee from the Magnolia State for the Lady Statesmen for the upcoming season. Duran graduated from Germantown High School in Germantown, Miss. She helped lead GHS to a 25-5 season and 6-0 in conference in 2018-19. That year she also led the Lady Maverick's to the final four in the 5A Mississippi State Tournament. Duran played in 23 games she had an average of 4.9 points per game, 3.6 assists per game, 3.3 rebounds per game and 3.0 steals per game.
In four seasons, Duran has played in 95 games and scored 579 points. "We are excited to have Andy become a Lady Statesmen," said Coach Roden. "She is a true point guard who learned to play the point fom her coach Jamie Taylor Glasgow, who was a point guard here under Coach Clark. We look for Andy to have a great career as the years go by."
