CLEVELAND, Miss. - Delta State University women's basketball coach Craig Roden announced the signing of Brysa Maxwell on Thursday, June 25.

"Brysa is a very versatile player that we are excited to add to our incoming team," said Roden. "She has a good combination of skills to play inside and outside and is a great athlete."

In 24 games this season for Holmes Community College, Maxwell scored 9.5 points per game and averaged 8.1 rebounds per contest. She also dished out 2.2 assists per game and added 3.0 steals per game. In her freshman campaign for the Bulldogs, Maxwell contributed 9.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 2.5 steals per game in 21 games. Maxwell scored in double-figures 25 times in her junior college career, including notching her career best of 16 points on two occasions.

"Brysa is athletic, is long, and goes after the ball hard, as evident by her rebounding numbers at Holmes," Roden said. "We are excited to bring her into our system."
