Tuskegee, Ala. - The Delta State University women's basketball team defeated Lemoyne-Owen College 66-57 on Saturday afternoon for their first win of the season.
The Lady Statesmen had four different players score in double figures and were led by
Ke'Vonshaye Stackhouse who had a career high 17 points in the win. DSU shot 24-50 from the floor in the win and out rebounded the Lady Magicians by eight.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- DSU scored the first 10 points of the ball game and did not allow Lemoyne-Owen to score in the first two and a half minutes.
- The Lady Magician only managed to have a lead two minutes in the contest.
- DSU was 4-4 from three point range in the first quarter.
- The Lady Statesmen managed to get to the free throw line 16 times making 12 of them.
- Moriah Hurst had 14 rebounds for a DSU career high. Zyaire Ewing added 13 points and T'Kyra Hicks had 11 for the Lady Statesmen.
- In the third quarter, DSU was 9-14 from the field for 64%.

The Lady Statesmen will head back on the road next week and go to Dahlonega, Ga. To compete in the North Georgia Classic. DSU will take on North Georgia University on Friday, November 19 at 1 PM.
