DAHLONEGA, Ga. - The Delta State University women's basketball team could not complete a fourth quarter comeback and fell to No. 5 the University of North Georgia 67-58 on Friday afternoon.
The Nighthawks outscored DSU 20-8 in the first quarter and held on to win. The Lady Statesmen trailed by as many as 21 points in the second half before cutting the lead down to nine.

- Delta State trailed 9-6 in the first quarter before UNG went on a 11-2 run to end the first period.
- Zyaire Ewing had nine points in only nine minutes of game time after falling into foul trouble.
