STATS OF THE NIGHT:
- Maalik Cartwright filled up the stat sheet with his first double-double of the campaign. He posted 18 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, two steals, and three blocks for the Statesmen.
- The Statesmen shot less than 50 percent from the free-throw line for the second consecutive game, going just 8-for-17 from the line.
- Lane went scoreless for the game's final 5:29, but managed to keep the Statesmen at bay.
- The game also marked the second time this season an opposing defense has held the Delta State bench scoreless.
- Each team turned the ball over 10 times, and DSU out-rebounded Lane 36-34.
- Airen Brooks (19), Kasey Walker-Gregg (11), and Kelen Dietrich (10) each scored in double figures.
- Lane College head coach Andre Turner, a former Memphis State standout and NBA draft pick, earned his first collegiate win.
