HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Delta State University men's basketball team bounced out to a handful of early leads and a 33-32 first half advantage, but the University of Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles outscored the Statesmen by nine in the second half to earn a 68-60 exhibition win over the Statesmen.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Airen Brooks posted 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Statesmen.
- Kelen Dietrich (13 points), Maalik Cartwright (12 points), and Kasey Walker-Gregg (11 points) also scored in double figures for Delta State.
- Deandre Pinckney had 20 points and nine rebounds for the Golden Eagles.
- Southern Mississippi out-rebounded DSU 46-39, and the USM bench outscored the Statesmen bench 39-0.
- The Statesmen went 12-for-17 from the free throw line to shoot 71 percent from the line, while the Golden Eagles shot just 54 percent (7-of-13) from the line.
- Both teams combined to shoot 13-of-50 from three-point territory.
- Delta State finished the game shooting just 1-for-11 from the field in the game's final 6:45.
