CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State University women's basketball team dropped its first Gulf South Conference game of the season with a 77-63 loss to Union (Tenn.) University on Monday evening.
The Lady Statesmen trailed by three at the halftime break, but Union outscored DSU by eight in the third quarter to pull away. In the loss, DSU was 22-for-23 from the free throw line.
Zyaire Ewing had 12 points and 16 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season. T'kyra Hicks led all scorers with 19 points.
