Stackhouse Hits Another Game-Winning Shot, Ewing Notches 1,000 Points

CLEVELAND, Miss. -- For the second night in a row, Ke'Vonshaye Stackhouse hit the game-winning shot with 4.4 seconds left in overtime to give the Delta State University women's basketball team a victory a 78-76 win over the University of West Alabama on Saturday. 

Stackhouse tallied a team-high 16 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in the win. Zyaire Ewing also added 13 points and eight rebounds, which pushed her over 1,000 career points.

STATS OF THE GAME:
  • DSU was 27-for-65 from the floor while UWA was 26-for-54.
  • UWA out-rebounded DSU 18-10 in the first half while the Lady Statesmen out-rebounded UWA 26-18 in the second half.
  • Delta State had three scoring droughts of over two minutes in the first half.
  • Stackhouse had a shot at a game-winner in regulation, but the shot fell short.
  • In overtime, both teams had 6-0 runs to keep the game tied.
  • DSU shot their worst percentage from the free throw line this season only making 18-for-28 for 64 percent.
  • DSU held UWA to 2-for-15 shooting from beyond the arc.
  • Four different Lady Statesmen scored in double figures, including Moriah Hurst who had a career-high 17 points.
  • Zyaire Ewing had 13 points and eight rebounds in the win.
  • The two teams had a combined 19 ties and 22 lead changes.
