VALDOSTA, Ga. -- The Delta State University women's basketball team dropped its third Gulf South Conference game of the season with a 12-point loss to Valdosta State.
The Lady Statesmen cut two larger deficits down but could never take the lead. Neither team scored more than 14 points in a single quarter.
Kwajelin Farrar had 11 points for VSU, while
Camryn Davis led DSU with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

- Delta State out-rebounded UWG 38-31.
- DSU was 13-for-47 from the field for 27.7 percent.
- They were also 4-13 from three-pointers for 30.8 percent.
- The Lady Statesmen were 5-12 from the free-throw line for 41.7 percent.
- VSU was 14-of-43 from the field only making one more field goal than DSU.
- VSU was 13-of-19 from the free-throw line.
- Davis was the only player to score in double figures for DSU while Farrar was the only VSU player in double-figures.
- The Lady Statesmen held VSU to just three field goals in the second half.
