CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State University men's basketball team scored a season-high 97 points and drained 15 three-pointers en route to a 97-56 victory over Shorter University.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Delta State went 15-for-36 from three-point land (42 percent), including a 10-for-18 mark in the second half from downtown.
- The Statesmen out-rebounded Shorter 44-37 and out-scored the Hawks 38-20 in the paint.
- The Green-and-White held Shorter to a 23-for-70 mark shooting (32 percent).
- Maalik Cartwright went 11-for-13 from the field and scored 22 points, posted 10 rebounds, and added eight assists, one steal, and four blocks.
- Five Statesmen scored in double-figures, including Kelen Dietrich (18 points), Lee Cotton (15 points), Kasey Walker-Gregg (13 points), and Airen Brooks (12 points).
- Bryson Jenkins had a career-night off the bench, as he hit three three-pointers to post 9 points in four minutes. The three-pointers were the first of his career for DSU.
- Brooks tallied his 15th career double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.
- Z'Mari Minter added a near triple-double as well, with six points, nine rebounds, and eight assists.
