BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Delta State University men's basketball player
Bryson Hall was selected as the Freshman of the Week in the Gulf South Conference, as announced by the league on Tuesday, Jan. 4.
Hall, a Northport, Ala. native, played 13 minutes against No. 25 Union (Tenn.) University and scored 11 points. He went 4-of-5 from the field and also pulled down a pair of rebounds in DSU's 85-79 overtime loss to the Bulldogs.
The Tuscaloosa County High School product is averaging 4.9 points and 1.9 rebounds in 12 games off the bench for the Statesmen. Hall has scored in double figures twice, and has five games with eight points or more. He has also added seven assists, one block, and one steal this season.
The Statesmen return to the floor on Wednesday, Jan. 5 in Carrollton, Ga. as DSU squares off against the University of West Georgia in GSC action. The game is set for a 4:30 p.m. CT tip-off.
