CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Statesmen (1-8 overall, 1-6 GSC) and Alabama Huntsville (9-2, 5-1) made a lot of noise from beyond the arc of Friday night, but it was the Chargers who escaped Sillers Coliseum with a 65-56 win. Delta State hit 14 three-pointers in the game, including their first 9 made field goals of the game.

Kelen Dietrich scored a game-high 30 points, connecting on 10 of his 18 three-point attempts. Dietrich also contributed with 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
Dietrich was the only Statesmen to reach double figures, but six other Statesmen made their way to the score sheet as well.
Maalik Cartwright was the next closest scorer with 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Lee Cotton had six points on his two made three-pointers.
Sam Smith only had three points, but 11 rebounds and 3 assists.
