HOW IT HAPPENED
- Barry got an RBI single in the first inning to jump out to an early one-run advantage.
- A Rodney Hibler two-RBI single through the left side plated Carson Clowers and Dalton Cummins to give DSU a lead they never gave up.
- The Statesmen were hit by a pitch four times in the fourth inning, which helped them plate four runs to take a 6-1 lead.
- Blayke Dendy's fifth inning home run, his first hit of the season, made it 7-1 DSU.
- Kirkland Trahan added a three-run homer in the eighth inning.
- Hayden Cooper reached on a dropped fly ball in right field in the eighth inning to plate Jake Barlow for the game's final tally.
