Big Fourth Quarter Leads Delta State Past Auburn Montgomery

CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State University women's basketball team allowed just nine points in the fourth and three Lady Statesmen scored in double figures as DSU won 60-52 over Auburn University at Montgomery on Thursday evening.

Ke'Vonshaye Stackhouse led the way with 13 points and a career-high 13 rebounds in the win. After scoring a career-high 19 points last week, Camryn Davis followed up that performance with a team-high 15 points for the Lady Statesmen in the game. Jordan Brewster had a game-high 21 points for AUM.

STATS OF THE GAME:
  • Delta State was 24-for-60 from the field for 40 percent, while the Warhawks were 18-for-62 in the game.
  • AUM was 8-of-24 from beyond the arc with Brewster draining seven of them.
  • DSU out-rebounded AUM 50-37 in the game.
  • Ewing had 13 rebounds in the win. It was her sixth straight game to have double-digit rebounds. Ewing also ended up with eight points, just missing on having her sixth straight double-double.
  • DSU struggled from the free throw line only shooting 11-of-19, but AUM struggled to an 8-for-16 mark from the charity stripe as well.
  • The Lady Statesmen only allowed AUM to score two field goals in the fourth quarter.
  • Delta State outscored AUM 34-18 in the painted area.
  • This was the second time that DSU secured 50 rebounds in a game this season. The other time was the win over Mississippi College.
  • The Lady Statesmen remain in sixth place in the standings in the Gulf South Conference.

The Lady Statesmen remain at home for senior day on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. The Lady Statesmen host the University of Montevallo and will celebrate senior day immediately following the contest.
