CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State University women's basketball team lost a heartbreaking game 70-69 on Saturday afternoon.
The University of Montevallo erased a 10-point deficit and forced two Delta State turnovers in the final 32 seconds to squeak out the win. Marisa Snodgrass made the game-winning free throw with 0.5 seconds left on the clock.
Moirah Hurst had a career-high 20 points on senior day to lead the Lady Statesmen

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Delta State was 28-59 from the field for 47% The Falcons were 24-55 in the game.
- UM was 19-19 from the free throw line while DSU was only 7-10.
- Four Lady Statesmen scored in double figures while UM had three.
- Zyaire Ewing had her seventh straight double digit rebound game with 13 boards. She also had 11 points.
- Ke'Vonshaye Stackhouse had 14 points and Camryn Davis had 11.
- The Lady Statesmen committed seven fouls in the fourth quarter.
- Montevallo never led by more than three points while DSU had as large as a ten point lead.
- The Falcons outscored DSU 30-22 in the paint.
- Delta State honored six senior Lady Statesmen after the game: Stackhouse, Alanna Smith, Hurst, Ewing, Brysa Maxwell, and T'Kyra Hicks.
