Cleveland, Miss. – The Delta State University Women's Basketball team traveled to Livingston, Alabama for a GSC matchup with the Tigers of West Alabama this Sunday. The Tiger offense exploded in the first to take a 19-10 lead. The UWA defense would allow the Lady Statesmen to score eight points in the second quarter to extend their lead to 42-18 at the half. To start the second half the Green and White pressed the Tigers which caused them problems. DSU only allowed 12 points in the quarter. The Lady Statesmen's offense came alive in the third scoring 20 points in the quarter. The Green and White battled back in the fourth quarter, but the UWA lead was too much for them to overcome. The Tigers would defeat the Lady Statesmen 69-55
