LIVINGSTON, Ala. -- Delta State ended their brief road trip to Alabama with a 73-45 loss to the West Alabama Tigers on Saturday afternoon. Seven different Statesmen contributed to the scorer's sheet, led by
Derek Moore with 15 points and 11 boards for his second double-double in as many games.
The three-point line belonged to UWA on Saturday as they hit 7 of their 22 attempts while holding the Statesmen to just 3 makes in 15 tries from beyond the arc. The wire-to-wire Tiger win also kept UWA tied for first in the conference with West Georgia with their now 15th conference win.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Tigers grabbed 12 offensive boards and out-scored the Statesmen 12-3 in second chance points.
- Turnovers were also a concern as the Statesmen committed 13 turnovers for 25 UWA points.
- Delta State out-scored West Alabama 30-28 in the paint.
- Maalik Cartwright also reached double-figures with 12 points to go with 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
