Box Score 2 Cleveland, Miss. -- The Delta State University softball team faced the Bulldogs of Union University for a doubleheader this Saturday.
Lacey Coats drew the start on the mound for game one of the doubleheader. Coats pitched five innings with nine strikeouts.
Jenny Griggers scored the first run of the day for the Lady Statesmen by driving in
Raegan Stafford with a double. The Green and White would score in every inning in game one except the second and fourth inning of the game. DSU earned the win in the first game with a walk-off win with
Raegan Stafford hitting a single and the Union third baseman having a throwing error which allowed the winning run The Lady Statesmen would have 12 total hits in game one.
Madison Jenkins earned the start in the second game of the day.
Raegan Stafford scored the game's lone run for the green and white. The Lady Statesmen had six hits in the game.
