Box Score Cleveland, Miss. -- The Delta State University softball team hosted the Wolves of West Georgia for Senior Day and game three.
Lacey Coats earned the start for the Lady Statesmen. Coats pitched the complete game with four strikeouts.
Karley Bloesch drove in
Raegan Stafford and
MyCala Helms for the game's first runs.
Sydney Pevey then drove in Bloesch to give the Green and White a 3-1 lead after the first inning. DSU then plated four more runs in the third inning to extend the lead to 7-1. Helms hit a no-doubt home run in the fourth inning to extend the DSU lead. Bloesch also scored in the fourth on an error from the Wolves defense. In the fifth inning Bloesch knocked in
Alana Walker and
Lindsey Coffey.
Sydney Pevey drove in Helms in the fifth to push the DSU lead to 12-4. The Lady Statesmen ended up with eleven hits in the game. The Green and White would send the Seniors out with a sweep of West Georgia in their final home series.
