Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Booneville, Miss. -- The Delta State University softball team traveled to Booneville, Mississippi for a doubleheader with the Hawks of Shorter University. Lacey Coats drew the start for the Lady Statesmen in game one. Coats pitched a complete game with two strikeouts. Katelyn Harmon scored the first run of the day. The Green and White scored two runs in the second inning and four runs in the third inning. The Lady Statesmen had sixteen hits in game one. Madison Jenkins earned the start in game two of the doubleheader. Jenkins pitched a complete game. Raegan Stafford scored in the second inning for the game's first run. In the third inning, Karley Bloesch hit a home run. Alayna Daigrepont scored the last run on a wild pitch to run rule Shorter. The Lady Statesmen had thirteen hits in the game beating the Hawks 10-2
