Box Score Booneville, Miss. -- The Delta State University softball team traveled to Booneville, Mississippi for the third game with the Hawks of Shorter University. Lacey Coats drew the start for the Lady Statesmen in game three. Coats pitched a complete game with five strikeouts. Karley Bloesch scored the day's first run in the second inning. Raegan Stafford scored in the fourth inning to the lead to 2-0. Jalynn Taylor and Lindsey Coffey both scored in the fourth inning. MyCala Helms and Bloesch would score in the fifth inning to push the DSU lead to 7-0. The Lady Statesmen had ten hits in game. The Green and White swept the Hawks on the weekend.
