CLEVELAND, Miss. -- The Delta State University Men's soccer team hosted the Harding University Bison this Sunday. The Statesmen got off to a quick start with Arturo Riestra scoring the first goal for the DSU in the 16th minute of the game. Ashton Taylor would score the next Statesmen goal in the 23rd minute of the game. Arturo Riestra added another goal for DSU in the 34th minute of the game to take a commanding lead. Harding would answer back in the 35th minute with Camilo Porto scoring for the Bison. The Statesmen would go into halftime with a 3-1 lead. The Statesmen in the second half would be challenged by the Bison, but the defense wouldn't concede another goal for the match. DSU won the game 3-1 to improve to a 2-2 record.
