BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Delta State University men's soccer player Arturo Riestra was named Gulf South Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

It is the first honor for Riestra this season. He helped lead the Statesmen to a 2-0 record last week. In the win against Ouachita Baptist, Riestra had two assists in the match. He scored two goals and assist against Harding on Sunday,

The Statesmen will host Spring Hill this week on Friday, Sept. 15 at 3:30pm.
