Cleveland, Miss. – The Delta State University Women's Basketball team hosted Valdosta State University for a home GSC matchup on Thursday night. The Lady Blazer's full-court press would be a challenge for DSU during the game, but DSU scored 17 points in the first quarter while Valdosta State scored 15. The Green and White had success in the second quarter, beating the press by scoring 9 points, but Valdosta State also scored 9 to make the score 26-24 into halftime. The Green and White allowed Valdosta to score 16 points in the third quarter while scoring 12 points of their own. The DSU offense scored 16 points in the fourth quarter while Valdosta State scored 25 to take the final lead. The Lady Statesmen would fall to Valdosta State 65-54.
