Cleveland, Miss. – The Delta State University Men's Basketball team traveled to Cleveland, Tennessee for a GSC matchup with the Flames of Lee University. The Statesmen started the game by scoring 29 points in the first half while allowing 33 points to the Flames. In the second half, DSU made adjustments to cause the Flames issues on both sides of the court.
Keithean Brooks and Malik Cartwright took over in the second half to give the Statesmen a 72-69 lead with .5 seconds left. Tariq Daughton hit a buzzer-beater to send the game into overtime. In Overtime, the Green and White had full control forcing Lee to foul to slow the game down. DSU defeated Lee 87-81. Brooks led the Statesmen with 34 points tonight on the game.
