Cleveland, Miss. – The Delta State University Women's Basketball team traveled to Cleveland, Tennessee for a GSC matchup with the Lady Flames of Lee. The Lady Statesmen started the game by scoring nine points in the first quarter while allowing 18 points to the Lady Flames. In the second quarter, the Lee defense would shut down the DSU offense only allowing two points in the quarter. The Green and White went into the half trailing 32-11. The Lady Statesmen turned up their defensive pressure in the third quarter while battling back in the quarter. DSU scored 10 points in the quarter to enter the fourth quarter trailing 47-21. The Lady Statesmen scored 12 points in the fourth quarter while giving up 13 points in the quarter. The Lady Flames defeated DSU 60-33.
Grace Watson led the Lady Statesmen with 13 points and seven rebounds in the game.
