MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Lady Statesmen cross country team at Delta State University delivered a good performance at the Rhodes Invitational, held on Saturday, September 21 in Memphis, Tenn. with a 16th-place finish.
Led by
Emma Haley, who crossed the finish line in 103th place with a time of 27:55.21, the team demonstrated strength and resilience throughout the race, finishing 16th out of 19 teams.
"It was our first 6K of the season and probably the hardest we will face this year with the hills at Shelby Farms and the heat. It was a tough team finish, and we all walked away with goals for next week," said junior Haley, top finisher for the Lady Statesmen.
