BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Delta State University's Lady Statesmen Cross Country team took over the Topper Trails College Classic with a good performance, earning a 5th place finish.

The team, led by Emma Haley in 20th place with a time of 22:29.0, put up a good performance with all runners finishing in the top 50 for the team to finish 5th overall.

"Overall, it was a good performance for our last 5k of the season. Our goal is to keep working hard, continue to drop time, and close the gap on our grouping," said Coach Britnee Smith.
